As part of efforts to promote womanhood in the African continent, the United States Consul General in Nigeria, Will Stevens hosted a reception in honour of the Africa Creative Market which was attended by African and international artists, government officials, and art enthusiasts.

A South African youth-led, women-led organization has unveiled that the former Miss South Africa runner-up Zimi Mabunzi will join the organization as their brand ambassador. This comes after months of working with Zimi in numerous campaigns that bring awareness to the plight of injustices to adolescent girls and young women in South Africa. The founder Sibulele Sibaca welcomed Zimi, stating that it was only fitting that Zimi, who is also an activist for the rights of women, join the organization.

International technology behemoth Microsoft has appointed Phyllis Migwi as the Country Manager for Kenya. Kendi Ntwiga, who left for a position as the Global Head of Misrepresentation at Meta, is replaced by her.

Kenya’s Chief Justice Martha Koome, who made her career protecting dissidents and last year’s court thwarted constitutional reforms sought by the president who selected her, is no pushover in a nation formerly infamous for political involvement in the judiciary.
