Olympian Salima Souakri became the new Secretary of State to the Minister of Youth and Sports, responsible for elite sport, within the Algerian government. Souakri participated in the Olympic Games four times and having won the prestigious Paris Tournament and ten African Champion titles. Souakri was also the first woman from Algeria and the Arab community to take part in the Olympic tournament.

Educate Global is a private equity manager focused on impact investments in midsized businesses in the Food, Health and Education sectors.
As part of Educate Global’s commitment to the Billion Dollar Fund for Women, they will work with the KEPSA management and its Gender and Youth Sector Board to build the investment potential of Women-owned enterprises in the Food, Health and Education sectors.
Egypt Parliament Allocates 25% of Seats to Women
The Egyptian Parliament has approved an amendment to an article in the constitution to allocate 25 percent of seats to women, a local daily, Egypttoday reported.
The approved articles also included the expanding of the two presidential terms allowed for any president.

The three-wheeler, known as Hamba (Go), powered by a solar-charged lithium-ion battery, is being piloted by start-up Mobility for Africa, which leases the motorcycle to women in groups of up to five.
