First Lady of Nigeria, Dr Aisha Muhammadu Buhari has inaugurated the Board of the newly established Future Assured College. The newly established college strives to improve the lives of the youths from less privileged backgrounds, especially those affected by the insurgency. Future Assured College, alongside the first lady, has aspired to change many lives, and this is just the beginning.

Kenya Celebrates Ongare’s Olympic Participation

Kenya’s Sports Cabinet Secretary, Amina Mohamed, along with the National Olympic Committee of Kenya officials, has reached out to encourage and lift the spirits of eliminated Kenyan boxers, offering consolation to Christine Ongare who was part of the team. Christine Ongare’s campaign met a hitch when she lost to Irish Magno of the Philipines in a flyweight bout and Amina noted that the country remains proud of the strides the sport of boxing has taken. “It’s a wonderful journey for all of us… we are getting back into boxing. Nick and Christine are opening the door for everyone else and I’m proud of them. They have done an amazing job and everyone is talking about how hard Christine worked and how well she did” she said. Kenya Ranks High in Closing Gender Gaps

Kenya has covered impressive ground in its advance to close its gender gaps within its territory despite the advent of Covid-19 and its economic effect setting back global progress to attaining gender parity by three decades, according to the Global Gender Gap Report 2021 by World Economic Forum (WEF) which ranks the country as 95th, with a 0.692 score, an improvement from the previous ranking of position 109 with a 0.671 score.
