Women have unique oral health concerns. Changing hormone levels during your menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and menopause can raise your risk of problems in your mouth, teeth, or gums. Health issues such as diabetes can also affect your oral health. Regular brushing, flossing, and dentist visits can help prevent disease in your mouth and the rest of your body. Oral health is the health of your mouth, including your teeth, gums, throat, and the bones around the mouth. Oral health problems, such as gum disease, might be a sign that you have other health problems. Gum diseases are infections caused by plaque, which is a sticky film of bacteria that forms on your teeth. If left untreated, the bacteria in plaque can destroy the tissue and bone around your teeth, leading to tooth loss. The bacteria can travel throughout your body and make you sick. Japanese City Gets Its First Ever Female Politician
Misuzu Ikeda becomes first assembly woman in Tarumizu as record numbers of women elected nationwide. Misuzu Ikeda has struck a rare blow for Japanese women in politics by becoming the first female candidate to be elected to the local assembly in the southern city of Tarumizu. Ikeda hugged supporters on Sunday night when she finished third out of 17 candidates for the 14-seat assembly in Tarumizu, which is officially recognised as a city despite its relatively small population of 15,000. Noting that she was the first assemblywoman in the city’s 61-year history, the former tax office employee promised to work towards a society “where residents feel cared about”, according to the Asahi Shimbun newspaper. The election also marked the first time a female candidate had stood for a Tarumizu seat for 20 years, and the first time two women had run for the legislature. The other candidate, Rieko Takahashi, did not win…

The campaign includes the stories of 15 women and girls involved in rugby at all levels from around the world. World Rugby women’s advisory committee chairman Serge Simon says rugby is “one of the world’s fastest-growing team sports” and women are at the “heart of the success story”. World Rugby has also launched a website to promote the campaign. Grand Slam winners England became the first 15-a-side professional women’s team on 1 January when the Rugby…
Love the Woman, Love Her Sneakers
The footwear known as sneakers has in recent times become an admirable trend for women if you ask me how it all began; I might be unable to narrate its unique origin or invention especially amongst the women folks regardless of this, wearing of sneakers especially by ladies is definitely an admirable trend in the fashion industry. Despite the complicated nature of fashion and style in our today’s world, one factor still remains constant when it comes to selecting a style; which is “comfort”. The good news about this footwear called sneakers is the comfort, while the bad news is if you are used to wearing heels, then this “work-out wardrobe” might be hard to pull on.
Why the World Needs Women in Governance
In this moment, millions of lives are threatened by poverty, food insecurity, and climate change, sounding an urgent call to action to global leaders. But this year has the potential to be a turning point, as more than 150 world leaders are gathered at the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit in New York to launch the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Summit agenda will serve as a plan of action by the international community and by national governments to improve human lives and promote well-being for all over the next 15 years. Each of the 17 SDGs focuses on a different aspect of development, including goals to address eliminating poverty, promoting good health, ensuring peace and justice, guaranteeing the access to clean water, and more. While the goals touch these specific areas, their success is contingent on a comprehensive integration reflecting the way they are experienced in an individual’s life.…
Former Georgia House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams, To Run For The Presidency In 2020
Stacey Abrams made a strong indication that she could be jumping into the 2020 Democratic primary race. When the former Georgia House minority leader was asked if she was still considering launching a bid for president, Abrams told progressive political podcast, Pod Save America, “Yes.” When the podcast tweeted out the excerpt of the interview, Abrams reposted it to her Twitter.
